The 2023 Eclipse Cross can be purchased in four trims and is arguably one of the best-priced SUVs that gives you great value for your money. The ES S-AWC has a starting price of only $28,878. The SE S-AWC and SEL S-AWC are priced between $31,498 to $34,498. The top model GT S-AWC’s price starts at $37,278.
Engine and Performance
All models are available in one engine configuration. The 1.5L unleaded four-cylinder turbocharged engine can produce a maximum torque of 184 pound-feet of torque and 152 horsepower. You can expect approximately 10.6km/L in the city and 11km/L on the highway, under normal driving conditions. The turbo engine can also travel from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 8.6 seconds, which is considerably fast for this size SUV.
Interior
If you’re after cabin and storage space, the Eclipse Cross won’t let you down. The cabin has 95 cubic feet available to passengers and 23 cubic feet for storage. The cabin can take six occupants and their luggage easily. The seats are well cushioned and covered in a durable, stylish fabric. The rear seats can be folded 60/40 for added space for an additional 27.1 cubic feet of cargo space. All models have standard automatic climate control and heated front seats. The GT model has grey or black leather-appointed seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a power-operated sunroof.
Technology and Safety
The 2023 Eclipse Cross comes standard with a lane-departure warning system, active stability control, an anti-lock braking system, traction control, cruise control, a rear-view camera, rear-door child safety locks and a forward-collision-mitigation system. The SE, SEL and GT models have additional safety driver’s aids, including a blind-spot monitoring system, automatic high beams, an emergency braking system and a 360-degree surround-view camera. You may upgrade to adaptive cruise control on the lower trims.
Infotainment features are abundant as standard in all trims. You’ll get Bluetooth, a 20.32cm smartphone link display, steering wheel cruise and audio controls and a four-speaker sound system. The top-of-the-range GT has an eight-speaker sound system.
