Top Ten: What we loved at 2017 Vancouver International Auto Show
Posted on July 20, 2017
2017 marked our second annual year attending the Vancouver International Auto Show at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Center. Wolfe Auto Group had a booth in the ballroom, which featured one car from each of our brands. So what did we love most about this year’s show? Here’s the top ten!
1 – Having our rally blue Lancer EVO Final Edition parked next to our matching rally blue Subaru STI. What a pair, and a great opportunity to compare these high performance sedans right next to each other.
2 – Showing off the new Miata RF (Retractable Fastback) in the main ballroom, with the super-trick roof cracked half-way. A real crowd pleaser!
3 – Grip Gamblers was back! Taking over Jack Poole Plaza on the final Sunday of the show is always an honor. We featured over 15 highly-modified Subarus, Mazdas and Mitsubishis, on display for car fans all day. Thanks to all the owners, who brought out their cars!
4 – Rocket Rally and the Subaru Rally Team Canada had their display on again. The things that can be done with a Subaru Crosstrek blew our minds.
5 – Along with the other Mitsubishi dealers of the Lower Mainland, participating in a check presentation at the Mitsubishi Canada display. The group donated $20,000 to Breakfast Club of Canada!
6 – Over a 100,000 cars fans visited the week-long show. We love our cars on the coast.
7 – Seeing Blaire Qualey from the New Car Dealers Association donning his sharp-looking Liberace themed dinner jacket, at Tuesday’s industry gala and fundraiser.
8 – Joining our star sales team as they collected top salesman of the year trophies at the annual NCDA Gala. Congratulations Matt Hale for Subaru and Lance Torkos for Mitsubishi!
9 – Burning around the city in our rally-themed STI all week long! Did you see us?
10 – Being on the same show-floor as Ferrari, McLaren and Lamborghini!
